12 Jan 9 Simple Ways To Find Peace Of Mind
Here are 9 EASY ways to answer the famous question- How to get peace in life?
Number 1: Invest in Self Care
If you want to start or get back into a morning routine, try squeezing in some self-care with maybe things like meditation or yoga. Basically, you want to spend 20 minutes doing something for your mind, then your body, and then your soul. It’s the number one thing that gets me out of bed in the morning.
Number 2: Treat Your Skin
I love dry brushing my skin before a shower because it gets your blood flowing, unclogs pores, and helps to remove any dead skin. Start at your feet and move upwards in long sweeping motions toward your heart. I also love to get my skin back into its supple state by giving it a good body scrub. Lastly, I moisturize and leave the house feeling pampered and smelling confident as hell!
Number 3: Get Some Fresh Air
In today’s world, everything is air conditioned. Going out for fresh air will help reduce suffocation caused by stress in the brain. Take lunch outside or go for a walk, this will improve the supply of oxygen to your brain and muscles and you get peace of mind in life. So go, get lost in the beauty of nature and reap the benefits!
Number 4: De-clutter Your PHONE:
Give yourself fewer options for distraction by deleting apps you don’t use, emails you don’t need, and bookmarks you aren’t going to read. To find peace of mind in life, give yourself a digital detox.
Number 5: Up your fruit and veggie intake:
You know that saying ”If you look good, you feel good”? It’s true! Amp up the healthy choices - think fruit smoothies with spinach, a hearty salad for lunch, and a big ol’ pile of veggies as a side for dinner. (Make it fancy from time to time). Sometimes we immediately try to cut things out when we’re trying to get healthier, but adding things in is a much better approach in my opinion.Go from feeling lethargic to getting healthier and make your bowels happy!
Number 6: Try Positive Affirmations.
The biggest path towards finding peace of mind in life is to stay happy and positive. Give yourself some words of encouragement, even if it feels silly (trust me, I know it does). Think about what you struggle with and turn them into positive statements. Here are some ideas:
- I am calm
- I will not take negativity to heart
- I am a unique and interesting
Number 7: Freshen Up Your Work Space
I recently rearranged by entire desk space at work, and it’s amazing how a little change can increase your productivity tenfold. Give your area a clean down, move things around, and get rid of any clutter you don’t need. Keep your room scented with incense sticks or fresh flowers.
Number 8: Focus on One Thing At A Time
“Never half-ass two things. Whole-ass one thing.” – Ron Swanson
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by your to-do list, get serious about your priorities and figure out what you can set aside for now. Focus on one thing at a time, even if you’re afraid of forgetting something.
Number 9: Go someplace New
Even if you can’t get very far, explore a town or area near you that you’ve never been to. Maybe find a new trail to walk on, a different coffee shop to work at, or even just take a different route to work to switch things up.
